Croc 2017: Day 3
Sunday is a busy day on the streets of Croc. We took some time to walk around the town and
observe the busy street markets. Food,
clothing and household goods stands lined the streets as the entire population
of the town seemed to be out socializing.
We then made our way back to the church to get dressed and ready for the
service. We had the privilege of sharing
communion with the local congregation.
Kurt shared a message with both Spanish and English speaking believers
about how we all are equal members at the table of our Lord. After the service, we shared a family meal
with the everyone.
We spent the afternoon touring Monterrey. The first few hours were spent at a downtown
market. Mexicans were celebrating Family
Day as a national holiday so the market and park were busy with food vendors
and musical performers. We then took the
winding drive up to the top of a mountain overlooking the sprawling city.
After a wonderful dinner and another round of
Survivor Mexico we headed to bed late and plenty tired for a third night in a
row. We are eager to roll up our sleeves
and start our mission work tomorrow.
